PHOENIX, Ariz. – January 4, 2019 – CUBEX LLC’s MedBank™ Medical Solutions, a leading provider of first dose and emergency medication management technology, today announced the launch of Validation Code on Override and Pharmacy Provided Validation Code software enhancements.

Long-term care pharmacies are under increasing pressure to ensure medication availability and safety for their customers. The new Validation Code on Override feature allows pharmacies to require validation of override transactions at the cabinet for medications not listed on the patient profile.This electronically documents that authorized pharmacy personnelhave approved the dispense transaction and is operating in adherence to State Board of Pharmacy requirements.

The second feature enhancement, Pharmacy Validation Code, gives the pharmacy theability to generate their own, unique validation codes rather than having to reference an Rx ID numbergenerated from their Pharmacy Information System. This creates greater efficiencies for non-24/7 pharmacies when validation codes are required for medication dispensing.
